About the Calling All Dreamers Competition
The goal of this annual business competition is to foster Sacramento’s entrepreneurial spirit and cultivate the next generation of dreamers in Downtown Sacramento.
In April, 49 applicants submitted their business concepts for the competition. A panel composed of the DSF board and business experts judged submittals based on creativity, business sustainability and business owner passion demonstrated through the application process. Eleven semi-finalists were selected to refine their business concept and a final group of 5 contestants were selected for a final business pitch to the panel. The judges selected the entrepreneur with the most viable plan that best fit within Downtown’s retail mix and has long-term sustainability potential as the winner.
