Solid Waste Franchise Fee Increase

The Sacramento Regional Solid Waste Authority Board (SWA) is scheduled to vote on a 2% fee increase on May 10. The current 8% fee would increase to 10%, and be directly passed through to commercial ratepayers. The fee increase is estimated to generate an additional $800,000 a year.
