Sacramento Bacon Fest is here January 20-27

 

Bacon Fest Sacramento has arrived! All you bacon lovers out there can rejoice and get your bacon fix. Bacon Fest is here from January 20 – 27 and is all about pork from pigs who lived healthy, happy lives at farms that value ethical and sustainable food production.

All the bacon and pork dishes enjoyed at BFS events are house-made by Sacramento chefs that truly care about quality natural foods.

The inaugural BFS went down in January 2012, and other events, such as The BLT Bike Crawl and Bacon Fest vs. Sacramento Beer Week, soon followed.

All events are not-for-profit and all the funds raised go to Sacramento chefs, restaurateurs, and the Center For Land Based Learning nonprofit.

SECOND ANNUAL BACON FEST SACRAMENTO CHEF’S COMPETITION
SUNDAY, JANUARY 27, 2 pm
Mulvaney’s B&L’s / Pig on the Corner (19th and L streets)
$35 (tickets on sale January 2)
Nearly a dozen local chefs create dishes and compete for Critics and Audience awards. Admission includes samples from each chef, appetizers and two drink tickets. Proceeds donated to The Center For Land Based Learning and the American River College culinary program
