Marketing Intern
This part-time paid internship is responsible for assisting the Downtown Sacramento Partnership (DSP) marketing department with admin duties, marketing communications, content updates of company databases, website management, market research, and social media activities.
Requirements
Major in marketing, communications, or related field. Ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, has excellent writing, proofreading, and verbal skills, and is proficient in Microsoft Excel. The candidate must also be familiar with web content management and general web skills. Some evening/weekend hours may be required.
SPECIFIC DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Administrative Assistance
Assist with the invoicing, organization, and outreach of various downtown promotions and programs. Support the office with general administrative duties including answering phones, collating materials and mailings, etc.
Content Management
Execute daily maintenance and content updates on downtownsac.org and the DSP blog. Manage web databases and conduct data entry on a regular basis. Assist with social media content as needed.
Marketing/PR Support
Assist with the implementation of marketing plans and promotions. Manage email marketing campaigns, assist with the annual marketing collective, develop and distribute marketing collateral, and produce newsletter and blog content. Keep a pulse on all Downtown happenings and events for DSP marketing purposes.
Marketing Intelligence
Manage and maintain DSP databases, collect market and real estate data, update factsheets and aid with external research requests. Develop quantitative surveys upon request and monitor/report the results.

Community Service Guide
This position patrols the Downtown District from Front Street to 16th Street and from H to L streets, acting as an information ambassador equipped with maps, two-way radios and cellular phones. He/she will act as the eyes and ears for Downtown Police and local officials, work in partnership with downtown merchants, to keep an open line of communication between local agencies and the people they serve. This position educates the public on local and state laws and codes. He/she also provides guided tours exploring local history, architecture and culture.
Job Requirements:

- Strong work ethic
- Must be able to lift at least 80 lbs and work outdoors
