Director of Marketing & Events
Are you passionate about Downtown Sacramento, results-focused and have reputation for building brands and community? The Downtown Sacramento Partnership is now hiring for a Director of Marketing & Events.
This position is a member of the Downtown Sacramento Partnership (DSP) leadership team and is responsible for managing the marketing and special events department and serves as the public information officer for the organization. Core functions include strategic planning, brand management, event production, sponsorship development, community engagement, public relations, personnel oversight and development, and fiscal management.
Requirements: At least four years of previous work experience related to marketing, fundraising, sales, event production, public relations, personnel and budget management. Excellent oral and written communication skills and organizational skills are required. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with various stakeholder interests and build relationships. Proven ability to work under pressure and adapt to changes, effectively accomplish multiple tasks and deadlines, and think independently. This position requires flexibility and ability to work irregular during events and promotions.
This position reports to the Sr. Manager of Office Administrations and is vital to the every day organization of office administration. The individual’s primary duty will be to provide administrative support to the Sr. Manager of Office Administrations as well as provide backup reception support to the Downtown Sacramento Partnership. This person must be extremely organized, and have excellent communication skills.
