Niello BMW Corporate Run: Bring the office together through health and wellness

Studies show that employees who exercise have higher energy levels throughout the day, are more productive, and are sick less often. It’s a no-brainer, then, to sign up your office and encourage your colleagues to stretch their legs at the second annual Niello BMW Corporate Run on Thursday, May 26. Don’t have a team? Individuals are also encouraged to participate.

Not up for the physical activity? Walkers are welcome, too! The party starts at 4 p.m. on Capitol Mall with the 3.1- mile race launching at 6:30. Enjoy a brief scenic tour of downtown and Old Sacramento, the waterfront and finish up on Capitol Mall.

If you’re thinking to yourself, “No, really, I’m NOT up for it.” No sweat, just park yourself on Capitol Mall to cheer on your colleagues while you enjoy the Corporate Village Party – Sacramento’s largest out-of-office-office-party.

Rent a private party tent with catered food and drink, listen to live music, and play some games – it’s a great way to enjoy each other’s company outside office walls and celebrate your team achievements (or discuss tactics for winning next time).

Over 50 teams participated in last year’s Corporate Run. The first step to register your team on bmwcorporaterun.com is designating a team name and team captain. Team captains will be sent more information to recruit their team of runners and are encouraged to challenge neighbor businesses to participate via social media. Who doesn’t love a little friendly competition?

Everyone who crosses the finish line will receive a medal with special awards for overall male, female and co-ed teams as well as largest team and fastest CEO. If nothing else, do it for bragging rights at the office!
