Downtown welcomes Railbridge Cellars, Whired Wine

New businesses continue to open on the grid as local investors capitalize on the momentum pulsing through the urban core. Adding new tables to Sacramento’s prestigious dining scene this month are RailBridge Cellars & Co. and WHIRED Wine.

RailBridge Cellars & Co. opens February 8 on the ground floor of the Elks Tower at 921 11th Street, overlooking the historic building’s underground lounge. Owners Michael Gelber and Michael plan to offer California cuisine by chef Christian Sieck, roughly 50 local and international wines wines offered by the glass, half bottle and bottle, and local craft beer from Track 7, Bike Dog and 12 Rounds.

WHIRED Wine opens February 8 at 410 L Street, just across from the Golden1 Center. Owner John Marco plans to offer both an extensive winebytheglass and bottle program, sake, beer on tap and scrumptious small plates. In February and March, the new wine bar will feature a WHIRED Winemakers Series on Thursdays from 5pm-7pm where guests can taste wines and meet the winemakers from some of the best wineries in California.
